Rhonda S. Calvin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, curriculum designer, and former educator with over 17 years of experience supporting children, families, and school communities. She began her journey in early childhood education, rising from teacher assistant to site supervisor at SETA Head Start, where she witnessed firsthand the emotional needs of young learners and the resilience of their caregivers.

Driven by a deep commitment to healing and equity, Rhonda founded Cultivating a Better Me to create emotionally safe, trauma-informed spaces where growth feels possible. Her practice blends clinical expertise with expressive arts, symbolic tools, and culturally responsive care—making mental health support accessible, engaging, and developmentally attuned.

As a licensed MFT Supervisor, Rhonda also mentors emerging clinicians, guiding them in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and ethically grounded practice. She is passionate about shaping the next generation of therapists who lead with empathy, clarity, and community-rooted values.

Rhonda holds a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco and is known for her ability to transform complex clinical concepts into clear, actionable tools. She designs restorative programs that center emotional safety, legacy, and joy—from youth anxiety groups and educator wellness workshops to self-esteem celebrations and fatherhood series.

Her work is guided by the belief that healing happens in rhythm—not isolation—and that every brave step deserves to be witnessed, honored, and celebrated.
